Hope To The End ...... Poems
The Lord is my Shepherd;
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
for THOU art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
Thou anointest my head with oil;
My cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
"Jehovah-Rohi" is the Hebrew for the "LORD is my Shepherd"
The Gospel of John, Chapter 10 tells us that Jesus is our Good Shepherd.
He has come to give us life more abundantly.
There Will Be Peace in the Valley for Me
.... but just think,
of stepping on shore and finding it heaven,
of touching a hand and finding it God's.
of breathing new air and finding it celestial,
of walking in Glory and finding it Home.
Chapter 11 tells us:
"I am the Resurrection and the Life. He that believeth in Me---though he were dead---
yet shall he live.
And whosoever liveth and believeth in Me SHALL NEVER DIE "
Believest thou this ?"...... JOHN 11: 25, 26
"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" 2 Corinthians 5:8
1 Corinthians Chapter 15 is all about the resurrection.
"So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption.
It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power.
It is sown a natural body ; it is raised a spiritual body" 1 Corinthians 15:42-44
....."the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality...
Death is swallowed up in victory.
O death where is thy sting?
O grave, where is thy victory?......
But thanks be to God who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
1 Corinthians 15: 52--57
"Knowing that He which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by JESUS, and shall present us with you. 2 Corinthians 4:14
Ezekiel 34:11-16 says:
"For thus saith the Lord Jehovah,
Myself, even I, will search for my sheep, and will seek them
I will deliver them...I will feed them with good pasture...
I will cause them to lie down...I will seek that which was lost,
and will bring back that which was driven away,
And will bind up that which was broken,
and will strengthen that which was sick.
Hebrews 13:20 tells us
that Jesus is "the Great Shepherd (Rohi-Gadol) of the sheep"
He has given His life for His sheep.
John 10:11, 15 (John 15:13)
There is no want to those who trust Him.
"He leads us into the green pastures of His Word,
and feeds us upon the true Bread of Life.
The Shepherd is always with us, even unto the end of the age.
He knows everyone of His sheep by name.
He knows the particular needs of everyone of us.
When finally we dwell in His eternal Presence, we will have no more pain...
"for the Lamb that is in the midst of the throne shall be their Shepherd.
